about
"Rebita" is the new single by Pedro da Linha who, sitting at the window of his house in Damaia, listens to the neighborhood in mornas, pagodes, kizombas and a series of other genres that are usually mentioned in these situations. "Rebita" it is not a circumstance that can be taken seriously, in the same way that no one wants to die knowing that this is their destiny.
While we're alive, we're having fun and that's what still needs to be explained in this triangle that connects Damaia, Luanda and Bahia. "Rebita" is a ballroom dance that originates in Angola, it's semba for two, an informal party that gives so much life.
And this is how it's builded – and deconstructed – Pedro da Linha's musical memory, which is extremely poorly compartmentalized and where genres, dances and stories mix at the speed of a mouse click (literally).
